Old is gold

Today our 4 year old daughter was invited to a birthday party. It was such a fun and relaxing warm time with great company, great people and food. There was just something so organic about it. The thing that really impressed me was when the mum of the birthday girl went around with this old school polaroid camera. Within minutes right after she snapped the picture you received a copy of the image she took of your child to go home with. To say this was beyond cool and amazing for me is an understatement for so many reasons. How often to do we take so many pictures, videos at events with our phones and we get home and do we ever even look at them?

There was just something so organic about the picture quality – no filters, no cat ears, rainbows or unicorns. It just captured the memory so beautifully and now the image is stuck on our fridge with our magnet and not stashed with 100 other digital images that may never see the light of day. Polaroid cameras are making a comeback yall and for me the primary thing is they keep the main thing the main thing. Pictures have a way of putting a memory in a time capsule.

Here is a recommended link to a polaroid camera (not sponsored). In case you are thinking of going down this route to create and share instant memories with your friends and loved ones.
