Who We Are

About us

 Hi there!

My name is Penny, I like other parents out there, had questions on parenting in the digital space. So I read, asked the experts questions and distilled the information for others trying to navigate this journey.

I am a mum of two – aged 4 and 2 and a wife to my loving husband and the E.I.C – Enforcer in Chief – of the vision behind screens n kids. While I come up with all these lofty ideas of getting outdoors, building forts etc; my husband is the one who delivers the goods – because you know this mama would rather stay indoors and drink hot chocolate on a winter day than layer up to go sledding down a hill.

I truly believe the first 5-8 years of our lives provides us with a lens of how we will see the world, how we will form relationships and ultimately how we will choose to believe in each other as humanity.
My work as a mental health nurse practitioner with adults, drove me to peel back the onion layers, as I realized some of the challenges with wellbeing faced in adulthood stem from childhood.

So how do we find that “digital sweet spot?” – where we and our kids can consume technology without it consuming us? Let us hold hands and journey together. This is urgent work, it is work that cannot wait. Let us strive to preserve the early years.

Do the best you can until you know better, and once you know better, do better.”                            – Maya Angelou
