The value of taking notice in an avalanche of information overload

The other day I brought up the toilet roll to the family bathroom because if you are the default toilet-roll-refiller individual in the home, it can get exhausting. Everyone has now been called upon to stop and NOTICE when the said toilet rolls are getting low and take the next steps and refill them. I saw this video posted by Ash an account on Instagram on how to reduce the mental load and the game changer word is asking people in your home to notice things more. Mmmh guys look at this kitchen what do you notice is off? Lets take a stroll over here to the living room – everyone can you please identify one thing you notice needs to be done. When it becomes a habit of noticing the mental load shifts from one person to at least most people in the home noticing and doing something about it.

Notice. One word that carries profound value in a world that is throwing content, information, reels and videos at us constantly. Look here, click here, subscribe here, like here. Share and comment here and on and on and on. We have become so accustomed to keep scrolling, keep moving that phew the ability to stop and notice mmmh that sunset looks extra beautiful today is like a super power in this digitally saturated world.

So yup I will leave you with a picture of my toilet roll notice experiment and hope it will spark some meaningful aha moments in your home.
